ANNUAL CLUB FOR ADULTS WITH MODERATE AND SEVERE SCOLIOSIS (page content is being updated)

Dear Website visitors, in April 2025, we announced the enrollment period for our free Annual Club for adults with scoliosis. Applications closed in May 2025, and in June 2025, we launched the 12-month online club with 17 members, aged 20 to 42, with S-, C-, and Z- moderate-to-severe scoliosis and associated postural disorders.

During the period of personal curatorial work at the club and within the framework of courses, a large-scale and detailed study was conducted, covering the analysis of the anamnesis, the dynamics of progression, the search for causes, the influence of lifestyle and methods of influencing the development, progression and correction of not only scoliosis and associated disorders (gibbus/costal hump, deformities of the ribs and chest), but also other postural disorders (pathological kyphosis, pathological cervical and lumbar lordosis, pelvic tilt, body asymmetry) in adults with closed growth zones.

The main part of the correction program included:
  • a year-long, original program of symmetrical video workouts (warm-ups, base workouts, cool-downs, and breathing exercises), with detailed voice explanations,
  • instructions for home percussion and manual massage,
  • instructions and additional correction methods.
The entire process took place entirely online, without physical appointments, without in-person meetings, or the use of corsets and orthoses.

Methodology:
A mandatory combination of key methods of the posture correction system © Irena Rost:

  • © Symmetry Self-Control Method (with Masking Tape and Mirror)
  • © Super-Efforts Method (at extreme points)
  • © Methods for identifying and eliminating traumatic factors in lifestyle
  • © The "Body Weight to Equipment Weight Ratio" Method (<=10-15% of one's own weight)
  • Same Amount of Reps Method
  • Exclusion of any other methods and systems of correction or physical activity, except for the methods of the system © Irena Rost

As part of the curatorial support and personal supervision for a number of club members (which depended on the specifics and degree of posture disorders, for severe scoliosis especially), additional correction methods were developed and implemented to accelerate the correction process:

1. © Weak Side Loading Method
2. © Sleeping with Soft Rollers
3. © Additional symmetrical and asymmetrical exercises with bodyweight, dumbbells, resistance bands, TRX, and pull-up bars; additional asymmetrical breathing exercises
4. © Methods of Core Anti-Rotation in training and lifestyle, adapted for specific scoliotic deformities of the spine and chest, and other postural disorders
5. Personalised recommendations for eliminating traumatic factors and general lifestyle changes
6. Other personalised methods

During the study period, many of our hypotheses were confirmed and became evidence. All methods of our system have proven their practical effectiveness.

It's worth noting that not all club participants were able to complete the annual program in its entirety (for various reasons). Therefore, by the end of the 12-month program, we will be able to fully confirm the results of only 8 of the 17 participants.

Participants who completed the club program transitioned to a program to maintain and gradually improve their achieved results, no longer within the club. The correction process continues.

The results achieved by participants during the correction process will be presented here on this page and on the "Results" page of the website, gradually and consistently as the information is processed and analysed.

The results and conclusions of the research will be presented in the form of scientific publications, articles, and manuals, with announcements of which also provided as additional links on this page.
Programs Authors
  • I.Antoniuk
Co-author of the method, trainer, fitness blogger, and curator of the Club for Adults with Postural Disorders

Irena is the creator of the author's methods for correcting postural disorders, the curator and inspiration behind the Club for Adults with Postural Disorders (2025-2026), and an advocate of a new lifestyle for people with postural problems.

Irena corrected her scoliosis-induced asymmetry and associated deformities, including kyphoscoliosis, hyperlordosis, and scapular winging. Over the years, step by step, she has also been reducing the size of the right-sided rib hump caused by scoliosis-related chest deformity. Since the first big visual posture improvements, she has been maintaining and improving her results for years. No one training or technique is released until it has been fully tested and used by her.

  • R.Kozhman
Co-author of the method, MD, trainer, and curator of the Club for Adults with Postural Disorders

A physician with a higher medical education (2008 - BNMU (Bogomolets National Medical University)), fitness trainer, exercise therapy instructor, creator of methods for correcting postural disorders, sports physician at competitions, black belt in Kyokushin Karate (極真会), mixed martial artist (MMA), and member of the Krav Maga Association (קרב מגע).

In addition to exceptional knowledge of anatomy, Rost has extensive personal experience in exercise therapy, fitness, martial arts, and massage techniques. His analytical mind and extensive practical experience help Rost develop effective, practical, and evidence-based methods for postural improvement. Together with Irena, he is working on developing simple, understandable, and home-based posture programs.
